Holds/Transport Costs
- I DO NOT hold any rabbits without a deposit and a Set Pickup Date!
- We begin taking holds after we have selected the individuals we want to hold back a bit longer for our own herd to grow and their posed as available on Facebook or Craigslist. Holland Lops will not be available till after 10-12 weeks in most cases due to needing additional time to evaluate their own special type sometimes longer. If you see Rex or Dutch rabbits posted that are in a time frame of 12-16 weeks this doesn't mean they were never picked and that their scraps I frequently will hold back the best of the litter if I'm stuck in decisions and release them as available after I'm certain what individual I want sometimes this is all the way to 6-11 months old! Yes Sometimes I'm Just that stuck. They could very well be some of the best of the litter and the additional time growing will effect the pricing. Do not judge this age as needing a reason sometimes it just comes down to needed holes for DNA or buns born later I tend to like better.
- Just because you inquire about a rabbit does not mean the rabbit is automatically yours even if you messaged first First to set up a date for pickup or deposit takes priority.
- They are sold/held on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE basis especially once they are 8-10 weeks old and often have several people inquiring at the same time once they are available.
- If you would like to place a hold on a rabbit a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required via PayPal, Venmo or Cashapp. The rabbit is not reserved until the deposit is received and cleared and sent as Friends and Family or someone you know this is standard across most rabbit breeders and doe not indicate a scam No Deposit no holding and if you are coming from out of town traveling once its the day of pickup and I hav confirmed we are sill on for that day I will not send bun to next in line or take further deposits on same rabbit unless you no show for your pickup.
- This is a great option to reserve a bunny if you live out of town or need to arrange a specific pick up date after the bunny is 8 weeks old or are interested in a specific color or sex. A Rabbit with a hold is required to be picked up on an agreed upon date. I do not board rabbits once they are 8 weeks old but will be reasonable as to scheduling a pickup day.
- If more then one person places a hold on the same rabbit, The first person to submit payment for the hold is who the rabbit is considered sold to. All others will either be refunded their deposit in full or can apply it to a different rabbit but remain on a waitlist incase the first individual cancels or no shows.
- If I myself are to be transporting a rabbit personally in my own possession a Deposit is still required to hold it until transport time or rabbit must be Paid for in full at least 48 hours prior to departure date.
- If the buyer fails to show at pickup time at agreed location the Entire amount is forfeit as I did my part. Should something happen during PERSONAL transport and I notice rabbit is injured I will work with you as to a reasonable solution or replacement. We are not responsible for injury discovered after you take possession of the rabbit from us.
- We are not responsible for ANY injury's or Illness or condition of a Rabbit put on external or 3rd party transport weather that be a professional contracted or even recommended rabbit transport company or your personal friend. Your personal friend or Family is an extension of you and your proxy and once the rabbit leaves or physical possession are no longer responsible for its condition on arrival to your hands.
- The Buyer is responsible for for selection and arranging transport as well as any payment for transport that's external to myself is between the buyer and the transport company including cost of the rabbit should transport individual lose or injure or the rabbit come down sick on transport.
- We retain the right to NOT wok with all transports, there are a few we will not send our rabbits out on or with and if that's the transport you select a new transport will have to be located or we will cancel sale and any deposit for holding until transport will be forfeit but other half of PIF bun will be refunded. We don't normally take deposits until transport has been agreed on but if last minute changes occur or we are not notified and approve of the transport bun will not be put on transport. Just approve your transporter prior to deposit and you will be fine. With recent failed transports know if an emergency occurs and a Blacklisted transporter takes over the route to finish we will NOT automatically cancel sale due to these unforeseen circumstances but we cant say the same for the transporter if they will feel that way.
Cancellations/Reschedules
- We reserve the right to refuse any sale for any reason.
- If you have placed a hold on a rabbit and WE decide to cancel the sale for any reason beyond your control a full refund will be given or option to place on a different or upcoming rabbit.
- If the rabbit unexpectedly gets sick or dies while still in my care, then a full refund will be made or the deposit can be applied to another rabbit, which ever you would prefer.
- If you decide to cancel a sale after the rabbit has a deposit or fail to pick up the rabbit on the agreed upon date or terms it will go back up for sale and your 50% non-refundable deposit will be forfeit. This is to cover expenses during which time I have to hold the rabbit to resale it including feed already put into the rabbit as well as cage space during its extended stay here.
- If you are unable to pick up your rabbit on agreed upon date and additional time is offered by me to be extended, a $5 per day Feed and Boarding fee will be due prior to any extension to continue to hold the rabbit till the next agreed upon date.
- If fee is not paid in advance Rabbit will be relisted immediately and Deposit will be forfeit.
- If bunny is not picked up by that agreed date all Deposits as well as additional feed/boarding fees paid are forfeit by the buyer for the time and cost of housing feeding and caring for the bun.
- Fee may be discounted in a transport out of state situation using a transporter depending on the amount of delay and reason at my discretion as many different things can happen in transport.
- If the time is extended and something happens to the rabbit in my care deposit and boarding fees will not be refunded but deposit will be applied to another rabbit of your choosing that is available. Boarding fees only cover till the agreed upon date.
- I understand there may be some special circumstances such as not living in the area, etc that I'll make exceptions for but have to be arranged ahead of time.
- I will reschedule pick-up once within reason. Cage space and the costs of maintaining rabbits is always an issue in a busy barn. You should make every effort to honor our original agreement. But I am aware that illnesses, deaths in the family and the like are beyond anyone’s control.
Returns
- If for ANY reason you cannot keep or take care of your bunny anymore, we ask that you please reach out to us to see what options may be available. I may not be able to refund cost of the rabbit will in most cases if I have room or a possible need for the rabbit will take it back to either find it suitable home to keep them from becoming dumped or in shelters.
- For biosecurity reasons if we are not always able to take the rabbit back onto our property but regardless we will endeavor to find the rabbit a suitable new home.
- We will not attempt to rehome a bunny who is showing any signs of illness as it is a biosecurity risk to all involved.
- The last thing we want is a bunny dumped in the wild or in a shelter; by doing this it helps keep our furry friends out of shelters. It is always much better to give the bunny back to the breeder then to pay a shelter to take it in.
