We are a rabbitry devoted to breeding many varieties of Rex and Dutch rabbits. We strive toward the ultimate goal of producing well rounded representations of both of our breeds in terms of type, fur, color/markings, genetics, and a sound temperament for not only show purposes but for 4H and FFA projects, meat breeders, and family pets.
Rabbits have been therapeutic pets to our family and we adore all their personalities and just getting outdoors and having a little bit of peace and furry country life in the hustle and bustle of a metropolitan city.
We Are Located in Los Lunas, New Mexico. For Biosecurity I am a CLOSED Rabbitry, therefore I do not allow any visitors or strangers in for the safety and well-being of my rabbits & family.
We specialize in Rex and Dutch rabbits only, If you need help looking for another breed I may be able to help you.
Please know that rabbits are not cheap and require daily care. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH before you inquire as to proper care and diet! They are a 7 year commitment!
Under all circumstances you are expected to quarantine your purchase for and MINIMUM of 14 days from unvaccinated rabbits, 30 days is always recommended.

About US:
My husband & I grew up with animals in our life of one type or another. 4H and FFA played a big role in our childhood and into our young adulthood. My husband raised and showed cattle and sheep. While I raised and showed Rex, Mini Rex, and Californians. However personally when I moved to Albuquerque in 2003 I had to give up all my animals to go to collage.
I met my husband in 2015 and that’s where our journey together began. We were merging two households together and the best part…We both had daughters that were 4 months apart in age. In 2017 we decided since both our girls were young and our options were limited in the city to start them out with Chickens and Rabbits for Eggs and Meat. On top of “Chick Days”, we got 3 mutt rabbits and set a goal if they could take care of the rabbits and prove that they really wanted to do this and take care of them responsibly for a year we would then buy them show bunnies for their 4H projects once they were old enough and paid their dues with learning the meat rabbit trade. Well little did I know that those three bunnies would not only open a door way for the girls but also the husband and so rabbit math took over and we ended up with about 10 rabbits within 5 months from random purchases. I just couldn’t take the 3 of them anywhere we came home with bunnies'. We ended up rehoming many to other family’s months later during our learning curve.
When the girls became old enough to join 4H we jumped at the opportunity to get them enrolled as they both already had the animal bug. We then had our path, We decided on Rex as I raised both Rex and mini Rex as a 4Her and knew the breed but that we also wanted something a bit more universal then just a show rabbit. We wanted something that could be used as a healthy source of protein as well as just a pet. So we set out and bought our first unrelated Rex pair then I came across an ad that changed everything, I found a professional breeder that had Rex and purchased a doe from her. Little did I know sending hubby to pick up said doe he would also convince her to sell me that does sister whom she was personally holding back for her own. These 3 does and a buck are where the 4D Rabbit-Tree was born.
Fast forward …we now have many breeding rabbits between the Rex and the Dutch. All are very loved and valued member of our family all get a name not just an ear number. It's been an amazing journey with these buns and we are dedicated daily to providing the best care possible for our little furry family members! As well as teaching our kids the responsibility of caring for another living being and knowing where their food comes from as well as how the circle of life occurs. Valuable things most kids don't learn in the city these days as children become more disconnected from reality.
Update for 2022
We have also moved and expanded. We Moved to Los Lunas NM to my hubbys childhood home, we brought 3 of the Southdown sheep back from the family ranch. We added 6 Boar does and 1 Spotted Boar Ram as we will also be breeding Boar goats for 4H projects then we also added two huge Hampshire Ewes to the sheep flock to breed to our Southdown Ram for the girls Southdown influence market lambs. We Downsized the Chicken flock as the girls decided they didn't want to show chickens anymore and one kiddo still wanted to do turkeys so we still have our 3 verities of Heritage turkeys Royal Palm, Blue Slate and Narragansett
Update for 2023
We had our first baby Boar goats born in March! Sadly only 2 of our does took so we will be breeding them to our own billy this summer for fall babies! We kept 2 breeders out of our goats boarn this year a Doe and Billy out of Lovebug named Misschief and Major Pain. We also Added Pure Bred Southdown Ewe Grace out of CocoPuff and Jack and a Hamp/Southdown Cross ewe Shadow a bottle baby out of Bella to the herd.
This year we also had allot of turn over in the rabbit herd we finally broke down and added a whole new variety I always avoided in the show herd and brought in Shaded Rex. We got 2 Cali Rex, one Seal Rex, and 4 Sable Rex to make their own herd that will be kept separate to not mix shaded in our regular show lines except for ones for our own personal improvements to their own program. They have some work to improve on to meet my standards but some of them are awesome and their a good starting point to build a whole new empire in a variety that lacks individuals knowledgeable in genetics and willing to improve them in a variety already scarce nationally. We also cleaned up much of our Tri herd by testing for the Chin gene to improve them not only body type wise but genetics as well. we still will have our for fun magpie and sable magpie program but they will be kept much more clear of our clean tri lines going forward. We had not only our first Chocolate magpies born this year but also our first Chocolate tri and after 2 years of working genetics we are producing our first genetic Lynx!! Lilac Agouti!! YAY!! We have brought in some new awesome stock to help with that program last year and again this year and earned a great mentor and friend in a fellow breeder doing his part to bring light to the genetic defect of Mooneye in the rex community!! While I have not had it pop up in my own herd its defiantly worth the knowledge and knowing who to turn to should something like it pop up gives me great piece of mind.
Update for 2024:
This year we attended our First National Show and went to Texas for Rex Nationals! While we were there we decided to add a new breed that their seems to be lacking in New Mexico...The Holland Lop. We chose to not do ANY Vienna lines and only focus on quality Clean line breeders not pet breeders and brought our first sets in from Holland Lop Nationals in Texas as well!! Started with KMS in Ohio, Burgs Best Bunnies in Washington, Lindas Loveable Lops in Idaho. Later that year we added 2 from High Adventures Rabbitry in TX and another from Oregon. During our Texas trip we also got our first Dapple Boar Billy and Doe from G5 Boar Goats, and later added some Nigerian Dwarf Goats to start a Nigerian Herd of goats.
Update for 2025/2026:
Well Apparently we Skipped 2025 Initially so this is March of 2026!! LOL 2025 Was Crazy and Chaotic and had quite a bit of heartbreak. Casey's Job was a mess, Causing allot of strife and unbalance in our lives as he was never home especially with Myself and Danika. also started more Court Proceedings for Fianna to fight to stay in 4h and Get her in a school that will follow and not lose her IEP which will continue well into 2026 as I write this its still unsettled. Over the year we did allot of reflecting on herd directions and reduction in the Rex possibly ending the Dutch altogether (which i talked Casey out of) he Loves those little guys and worked to hard to just cull the whole Dutch herd. Due to our chaos we also took the year off from showing other then the kids fair. Danika Showed her first dairy goats and got her first showmanship buckles and banners as we brought in 2 new baby does for her on Mothers day, she also had 2 surprise baby's born just a couple weeks b4 fair to her showmanship goat jigsaw that we didn't know was pregnant. she also had a devastating loss of both her dairy baby's this year. First Winter to a random Coyote, and then weeks prior to fair a freak accident that Dallas passed after doing her posing and lead work. We also added a 2nd Registured Buck for her Dairy program Cosmic Blast and Holland Lop Alexia. And we will pretty much just leave it as that and wash our hands of 2025.

This year So far we got the Rex herd reduced down but still would like to do more. Hollands have expanded as I write this I got 9 baby's to eval. We just added 2 Chocolate Nigerian goats to Danika's Herd Kensington and Love by Chocolate. We are also adding 2 new holland Bucks and 1 new doe. 1 buck and 1 doe are chocolate tortes so gonna be adding a new color option this year they will be coming in on a new transporter as well so hopefully its a new start of many things. Kidding season is done, we have our First Registered Boar goat born and G5s Smokestacks first babies hit the ground as well as First from the Skelly doe who is polled BTW. but we had 14 Bor goat babies born and only 5 were bucks so lots of does to eval. Also first year our sheep none took or settled so no showing sheep this year so we sent all the sheep to the Family ranch so we could dedicate our feed and resources to the Boar goats backgrounding to get them off to the right start since so many are does plus the 2 withers for the girls to show.
